BRUCE HUGGINS


Bruce Huggins Jr., So. Plymouth, N.Y., is a self taught musician. He grew up around music with his mother playing organ, guitar, piano & accordion.
Bruce plays electric & acoustic guitar, bass guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, and keyboard. He also is a lead singer. You wouldn’t want to miss his “Devil Went Down To Georgia”.
He started playing professionally when a friend asked him to join his band, “Lovin’ Country”. Later he started his own group with three other friends called “Cedar Junction.”
After “Cedar Junction” he played with a rock and roll group “Hard Times” for a while till he joined the “Borderline Band” whose name later changed to “Destiny”.
Bruce is currently a part of the “Route 66 Band” which has opened at Cortland’s Country Music Park for Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, Randy Travis and “Whisperin’” Bill Anderson. In 2001 Bruce recorded 2 songs on an album titled “Most Requested Songs of Route 66”; Mansion on a Hill and Truck Drivin’ Man.
On the newest CD he has recorded, “Waltz Across”, “Let’s Chase Each Other ‘Round The Room Tonight” and “May You Never Be Alone Like Me”.

He and the band have been doing such dinner theatre shows as a Tribute to Loretta Lynn, a 50’s Rock, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Hee Haw, and most A Tribute to Patsy Cline, and most recently did “A Tribute To The Grand Ole Opry”.
He and the band have also been performing at fairs in Pa. and New York.
