BOB SWARM
Our Photographer
At many of our special functions, you will see Bob with his camera taking pictures. Most of the pictures on the website, were taken by Bob. He does an excellent job and the band really feels lucky to have him there for us. You might also see Bob up singing a song or two as he has a great voice and enjoys singing. Below is a little biography of Bob's musical life.
                                        Music Of Your Life

Bob Swarm loved to sing and learned the art of singing while in High School from H. Lynn Rice, one of the best coral directors to ever teach in a High School. Bob sang in the High School Choir and church Choir and organized a Barbershop quartet while in High School.  After serving in the armed forces, Bob returned to Western Pennsylvania and sang with several coral and Barber Shop groups.  During this time Bob learned to play a guitar and Bass guitar so he could sing the country music he grew up with and loved. In the early ‘60s Bob formed a Country Music Band called “The Night Riders” which played for dances in Jamestown, NY; Sherman, NY; Findley Lake NY; and Erie, Crawford and Warren Counties in Pennsylvania.
In 1970-71 Bob played with a trio called “The Hilltoppers” playing campgrounds in Pennsylvania.

In 1978 Bob was transferred to General Electric in Syracuse and moved to Spafford, NY. This job required Bob to be on the road all over the United States which made it impossible to play in a band. However, Bob became involved with the building of the Statewide Country Music Association, which was has an Oprey Barn, Hall of fame, and camp grounds at Cortland, NY which kept him close to country music.

In 1986 Bob played an hour of music for his neighbor who had recently moved to the Brewster house in Homer, NY. The response was so great from the senior citizens at that show that Bob started playing Senior Centers and nursing homes on a regular basis. Bob returned to Erie County, PA in 1987 and played nine nursing homes each month until he retired and moved back to Cortland County, NY. Bob is now playing four to six jobs each month in nursing homes and Senior Centers in this area where he played his first single job back in 1986. Bob recorded his first album, “Waltz across Texas” in 2002. Places that now use Bob’s music are:
